SILENT VIGIL FOR PEACE
Taunton Quakers invite you to join us on
WEDNESDAY 26TH JUNE BETWEEN 12 AND 12.45
IN THE PARADE IN TAUNTON TOWN CENTRE
(near the Tourist Information Centre)
COME FOR THE WHOLE TIME OR AS LONG AS YOU CAN
There are 110 armed conflicts currently happening across the world. Each will have its victims and an impact on the economic, emotional and cultural life of that society.
Britain is not at war but we too can see the effects of money spent on arms including those provided by Britain and of a mindset that war is a valid way of achieving aims.
Please join Quakers to stand in silence, in prayer, holding in the light victims and instigators, remembering those who must take decisions.
Taunton Quakers hold a silent vigil every 4 th Wednesday at the same time after which all are welcome to come back to the Meeting House in Bath Place for a drink.
We hold Drop into Silence every Wednesday from 12.30 to 1.30 at the Meeting House
Taunton Quakers meet every Sunday at 10.30 and 6.00.
Wellington Quakers meet every Sunday at 10.30.
Everyone is welcome.
